Cannabis infused Coconut Oil is one of our favorite products that can be used topically or eaten in a variety of ways.
Coconut Oil can easily be substituted into almost any recipe that calls for butter or olive oil.
If your recipe already calls for coconut oil, you can simply use this Cannabis Medicated Coconut Oil, and you will have a medicated version. Otherwise, to cook or bake with this Cannabis Coconut Oil simply replace butter or olive oil using a 1:1 ratio. See our sample recipe for Coconut Mashed Potatoes below.
Even easier, if you are not a chef or baker, you can simply spread on toast, or melt and drizzle over popcorn. Other easy ideas include spreading the Cannabis Coconut Oil across freshly baked sweet potatoes or mixing a dollop into warm rice.
Coconut Oil works great in capsule form.
If the taste is displeasing to you, there is still a way to feel the calming, pain-relieving effects of this product. At health food stores and herb shops you can now purchase empty capsules that you can fill yourself. Start by putting a very, very small amount of the Cannabis Coconut Oil into a capsule and ingesting the capsule on a relatively empty stomach. Be very careful not to take too much. Without the buffer that other ingredients from baking or cooking with the coconut oil afford, you may feel a much stronger effect from talking the same amount of Cannabis Coconut Oil in a capsule than you would even on toast.
Coconut Oil can be used topically.
This Medicated Coconut Oil can be rubbed directly on the skin. It is very soothing for many skin conditions including Eczema, Psoriasis, sunburn, and dry skin. Cannabis Coconut Oil seeps through the skin and provides fast-acting pain relief. It is also great for joint and muscle pain relief, as well as for stiffness, swelling, and aches. If you need an even stronger topical, try mixing in some Full Extract Oil to enhance all of these effects.
Vegan Coconut Raspberry Jewels that are made with this Cannabis Medicated Coconut Oil are an excellent way to sample this product. They taste really good, and are very potent one dose cookies. They are certainly one of our best vegan options, and a lot of our non-vegan patients enjoy them as well. They are small in size, yet pack a punch. When sampling for the first time, it is a good idea to start by eating only half or less of one cookie until you are familiar with the strength.
Here is a sample recipe for your use and enjoyment:
Vegan Medicated Mashed Potatoes
5 large Russet potatoes
½ cup Medicated Coconut Oil
½ Cup of vegan Milk; recommend Cashew Nut milk, Almond Milk, Rice Milk or Soy Milk; use more milk for creamier, less for starchier potatoes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Cut potatoes in no smaller than 1” chunks. Can leave skin on, or peel.
Boil until potatoes are soft, but still firm, approx. 7-10 minutes.
Drain Potatoes, add back to pot.
Add coconut oil, vegan milk, salt and pepper.
Smash with potato masher, ricer, or emersion blender.
