MEASURE T changes the Measure JJ appointed Medical Marijuana Commission from a peer review board into a typical City Commission, appointed by the City council.
MEASURE T GIVES THE CITY COUNCIL UNLIMITED AUTHORITY ON ALL DECISIONS REGARDING BERKELEYS MARIJUANA INDUSTRY WITHOUT VOTER APPROVAL!
MEASURE T is a power grab by the city council, and if it passes you will no longer get to vote on any matters concerning medical marijuana in Berkeley.
November 2nd , Vote NO on MEASURE T and ask friends who live in Berkeley to do the same.
Measure S adds a 2.5% increased tax on your medicine,TWICE! That’s 5% total. The medicine will be taxed when the dispensary receives it, and again when you buy it.
MEASURE S hurts patients, and will increase the price of your medicine.
MEASURE S is not the right way to raise money for Berkeley. The staff here at Patient’s Care Collective, has already taken a significant pay cut, effective immediately- because if MEASURE S passes, the tax will be owed starting back from July 1st 2010.
There will be no argument against Measure S featured on the ballot form. Berkeley City council declined to accept the opposing argument.
